A 35-year-old driver rammed the vehicle in front of him in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and then hit the driver in the face several times with his fist. He left the 59-year-old with an open wound under his right eye, the police said on Friday. An uninvolved witness then called the police.

The two men drove behind each other for a long time before the incident on Thursday. According to the police, the 35-year-old then rammed the rear of the man in front of him for an unknown reason. He then got out of his car and hit the other driver. Investigators suspect that the two men had a conflict before. The police have instituted criminal proceedings against the aggressor.
