Ryan Ramczyk is "feeling pretty confident" that he has overcome his knee injury

Right tackle Ryan Ramczyk was signed by the Saints to a five year extension. This was in addition to the consistency he had shown during his four previous seasons.

Ramczyk had never missed a game because of injury prior to last season. But things changed when the Saints began playing. Ramczyk was injured in the knee and missed seven games. He played in other games at less than 100 percent.

Ramczyk stated that there were times when the knee felt good enough to play but it was "just not there" when he was on the field. Ramczyk avoided surgery and spent the offseason strengthening his knee muscles in a program that he believes has helped him get back on track.

Ramczyk stated, via Luke Johnson at NOLA.com, "It's feeling much better now, so it's feeling pretty confident going into the year."

New Orleans would welcome the return of Ramczyk's past stability, which is a good thing for Jameis Winston, a rookie left tackle, and Winston, the quarterback.
