After a serious traffic accident with nine people injured on Friday morning in Petershagen on the state border with Lower Saxony, one of the victims died. According to police in the Minden-Lübbecke district, the 51-year-old died of his serious injuries in a hospital in the afternoon. The man was sitting in a minibus that collided with a car. The 28-year-old driver of the car was also seriously injured.

The force of the impact threw the vehicles into a field and onto a grass verge. Another of the eight bus passengers, aged between 24 and 51, was also critically injured. Four were taken to hospital with serious injuries and three with minor injuries.
