The 'Night Serenade' will sound this Friday in Caracuel de Calatrava

The serenade was played at dusk, often in the open air, and delighted evenings in the gardens of aristocratic palaces. Curiously, the name does not derive from 'sera', which in Italian is 'afternoon', but from serene, calm or restful.

It is not strange that in an incomparable setting such as the castle of Caracuel de Calatrava, this activity is carried out by the Antigua Tuna de Ciudad Real, who have wanted to delight the residents of the town and go to the houses of the town to sing and play from 10:30 p.m.

Organized in collaboration with the Cheritrones Cultural Entity, this activity with the title of 'Night Serenade' tries to revitalize the towns, to fill them with culture, music and art, as a means to make these environments attractive and achieve the objective of establishing population, indicate from the organization in a press release.

"We wholeheartedly thank Julio Chocano and Carlos Navarro Camacho for offering us the opportunity to enjoy and revive this tradition that existed in the villages in the past," they conclude.
