María Tello Balmaseda from Toledo made her debut this weekend with the senior Spanish field hockey team, in two games against Argentina played in Valencia.

The clashes belonged to the FIH Pro League and in both Spain lost 1-0 against one of the best teams in the world. However, Tello made great interventions as a goalkeeper that prevented the South Americans from scoring more goals.

The goalkeeper had played the Iberdrola League final four the previous weekend, in which her team, Club de Campo, lost the final against Sanse Complutense. Tello was trained in the youth team of the Toledo Hockey Club.
