Work calendar 2022 in Valencia: list of holidays by municipalities in the month of June

The 2022 work calendar in Valencia faces its next regional holiday this June, which will mean a new bridge to enjoy a long weekend. This is the festival of San Juan, in commemoration of the Bonfires of Alicante, which on this occasion will once again be a paid and non-recoverable day.

According to the 20222 work calendar published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV), Friday June 24 will be a holiday at the regional level due to the festival of San Juan, although it should be noted that at the local level different towns in Valencia, Alicante and Castellón will also celebrate other non-working days for workers.

For example, in Alicante it will also be a holiday on Thursday June 23 for San Juan, while a large number of municipalities will celebrate the festival of San Pedro Apóstol on Wednesday 29 and that of San Cristófol on Monday 6.

Likewise, the festival of San Juan was included four years ago in the work calendar at the regional level as a paid and non-recoverable holiday to encourage the cultural and tourist value of the Bonfires of Alicante. On the other hand, it will not be the only non-working day for workers in summer, since on Monday, August 15, the festival of the Assumption of the Virgin is celebrated at the national level.
