The Official Gazette of Castilla y León (Bocyl) has published this Friday the definitive Community school calendar for the 2022-2023 academic year, which sets September 9 as the start date for the second cycle of Early Childhood Education, Special Education and Transition to Adult Life, Primary Education and for compulsory Secondary Education students who are enrolled in primary education centers, and marks the start of the course for ESO, Baccalaureate in the ordinary and night regimen and the first year of the cycles on September 14 basic degree training and second year of basic FP.
In addition, the order sets on September 19 the start of the course for intermediate and advanced vocational training cycles, and the second course of the intermediate and advanced vocational training cycles of plastic arts and design. .
On September 26, the distance Baccalaureate will begin, the teachings taught in adult education centers and classrooms, the distance secondary education for adults taught in secondary education institutes and the intermediate and higher grade training cycles in distance education.
Finally, on October 3, the first course of the intermediate and higher level training cycles of the professional education of plastic arts and design, the higher artistic education, the elementary and professional education of music and dance, and the sports lessons, while language lessons will begin on October 5.
The Christmas holidays will begin at the end of the activities on Thursday, December 22, 2022, and the students will return to the classroom on Monday, January 9, 2023. The Easter holidays will begin at the end of the activities on Wednesday, December 29. March 2023 and the teaching activities will begin on Monday, April 10, 2023.
October 12, November 1 and December 6 and 8 will be considered as holidays in 2022 and, in 2023, those that the regulations establishing the calendar of working holidays in the Community of Castilla y León determined. The two days corresponding to the local festivities agreed for each municipality and that have been published or are published in the official bulletins of the different provinces will also be holidays, in the event that they coincide within the school calendar.
In addition to the days designated as holidays, October 31, 2022 will be considered non-teaching days for academic purposes as Teacher's Day, December 9, 2022 for the Constitution bridge, and February 20 and 21 for carnival parties.
The course will end on June 2 for the studies of the second year of Baccalaureate, second years of the higher level training cycles of initial FP and of the professional teachings of plastic arts and design, the higher level training cycles in the system of education to distance, the higher degree cycles of sports education, the sixth year of professional music and dance education and language education.
For their part, students in the second cycle of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, Special Education and Transition to Adult Life, ESO, the first year of Baccalaureate in ordinary and night regimens, the basic professional training cycles, training cycles will end on June 23 of intermediate level of initial professional training, the cycles of intermediate degree of the professional education of plastic arts and design and sports education, the first courses of the higher level training cycles of initial professional training and of the professional education of plastic arts and design, elementary and professional music and dance education, except sixth year of professional education, education given in adult education centers and classrooms, distance secondary education for adults given in secondary education institutes, intermediate level training cycles in a distance education system and teaches them superior artistic nces.
