CSIF requires the Government "to approve teleworking once and for all" for public employees

The Independent Trade Union and Officials Central (CSIF) has announced this Friday a demonstration for June 22 in defense of the working conditions of public employees, to demand salary increases and “to approve teleworking once and for all”, according to informed the union in a statement.

CSIF has recalled that for months it has been demanding the development and publication in the Official State Gazette (BOE) of the decree that teleworking in the State Administration must develop, up to three days a week.

The union also denounces that it is still waiting for answers from the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration, led by María Jesús Montero.

Given this situation, CSIF will demonstrate with the intention of obtaining the publication of the teleworking decree, agreed in April 2021, and the recovery of salary negotiations.

The union also regrets that, after the publication of the decree, it will take at least five months for its implementation, since it will require training, selection and adaptation of positions.

CSIF calls for decent treatment for public workers and asks the Government that its promises "do not go back to being a dead letter".
