The Interior doctor arrested for the second time after a fifth complaint of abuse against a Mossos agent

The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested this Thursday for the second time the doctor of the Department of the Interior, accused of sexual abuse of five agents of the Corps, after the fifth victim formalized the complaint at the police station at the end of last week.

As sources from the Interior have confirmed to ABC, after assessing what the woman reported, the Catalan Police instructor who is handling the case decided to order this new arrest of Jorge P., from the Occupational Health and Surveillance Service, who would have taken advantage of his position of superiority as a doctor to attack the sexual freedom of the mossas.

The events date back to the fall of 2019, although it was not until February of the following year that the first agent formalized her complaint against the doctor.

He did so after reporting what happened to the General Police Directorate (DGP) which, in turn, transferred the information to the Equality Unit. The response received by the affected person was that, since it was a criminal act -it was not harassment but abuse- she had to file the complaint with the police.

He did not have any accompaniment, nor did he receive psychological help from the Corps and for this reason he relied on a Mossos union, Sap-fepol. At the end of May, TV3 uncovered that three women had been victims of the same individual and, since then, two other police officers have denounced the doctor.

The first time that the Mossos arrested the suspect was on May 20, given the seriousness of the story of one of those affected. Two days later, after going to court, he was released with charges. He denies the facts.
