A 45-year-old motorist drove into a post in the municipality of Longueuil on Friday morning before trying to flee.

The accident occurred on Jacques-Cartier Boulevard.

The man could not have fled very far, since he was quickly located by officers from the Service de police de l'agglomeration de Longueuil (SPAL).

He then received two statements of offense for hit and run and driving during sanction.

No injuries were reported in the event.
