The number of hospitalizations for coronavirus in the Valencian Community has skyrocketed with 202 more patients admitted than four days ago, in the latest data update. There are exactly 905 people in this situation, with 35 in ICUs.

The Ministry of Universal Health and Public Health has also notified four more deaths, all with a date of death in the last seven days. They are two women aged 88 and 96, and two men aged 84 and 85. The total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic amounts to 9,520.

4,479 new coronavirus positives confirmed by PCR test or through antigen tests have also been detected since the last update. Of these new cases, 2,210 are from people over 60 years of age.

The incidence rate of the coronavirus in people over 60 years of age has risen another 63.63 points since Friday to stand this Tuesday at 559.48 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the Valencian Community, although it is still below the national average that amounts to 841.27 cases, according to the update of the Ministry of Health.

In relation to the diagnostic tests carried out since the last update in people aged 60 or over, 8,804 have been carried out, which represents a rate of 666.89 per 100,000 inhabitants with a positivity rate that rises to 42.54%.
