Correos Cargo consolidates its route between Madrid and Hong Kong with two weekly flights

It will buy three new planes by the end of 2024

MADRID, 17 May. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Correos Cargo already has its parcel and merchandise air transport route between Madrid and Hong Kong fully operational, with a total of two weekly flights that operate on Mondays and Fridays.

The 'Milana Bonita' aircraft, an Airbus A330 with a load capacity of 50 tons and which offers air transport for all types of materials and sectors, is already making this journey on a regular basis, as reported by the postal operator.

The company has assured that this route is obtaining good results in its first phase, which is why it is already planning to increase the number of aircraft, with up to three new aircraft by the end of 2024.

These regular flights are in addition to the cargo charter flights announced by the company last March. With this new service, the company wants to help and favor the internationalization of Spanish companies, as well as the export of their products in the markets of the East.

"This makes Correos a leading global operator in 'End to End' solutions for companies, which include the complete logistics process and deal with the entire value chain", the company has indicated.

Correos' objective with this new line of business is to continue adapting logistics capacity to offer solutions that respond to the increase in parcel delivery, thanks to the rise of electronic commerce, and to be a "reference point" for the America-Europe-Asia logistics hub.
