One person has died and another has been injured in a traffic accident recorded this Thursday morning at kilometer 38 of the CL-621, within the municipality of Bercianos del Páramo (León).

The event, as confirmed by sources from the Castilla y León 1-1-2 Emergency Center, took place after 9 am when a van and a truck collided, which overturned due to the impact.

The 1-1-2 operations room gave notice of the incident to the Civil Guard, to the León Fire Brigade, given that the driver of the van was trapped, and to Emergencies Sanitarias-Sacyl, which sent an ambulance with basic life support, a Bercianos del Páramo medical team and a mobile ICU.

At the scene of the accident, Sacyl staff confirmed the death of the van driver and treated a woman who was transferred by ambulance to basic life support to the León Assistance Complex.
