According to a source close, Kate Moss, who was a date to Johnny Depp in 1990s, will be called by his legal team to testify as a counter witness in the ongoing Depp-Amber Heard trial.

According to a source close to Depp, Moss and Depp are still close to each other to this day.

Depp sued Heard for $50 Million alleging that she defamed him in a Washington Post op-ed from 2018. The piece, which didn't mention him by name, falsely depicted him as an abuser.

Heard counter-sued Depp to $100 million, claiming that statements made by his attorney calling her abuse claims "hoaxes" were defamatory.

Heard testified that she thought immediately about the rumors regarding Moss when Heard and her sister were involved in an alleged altercation.

He swung at Whitney and I'd heard a story, a vague one about that," Heard testified May 17.

According to a Rolling Stone 1998 article, Depp said that he was with Kate when he had conversations with Hunter S. Thompson. He seemed to be going for the romance jugular and s*** like whether he beat her enough. He probably said, "Yeah she gets a severe beating."

Depp's team did not comment on the 1998 Rolling Stone quote.

Heard's team provided multiple expert witnesses during Monday's trial proceedings, including two physicians.

As an expert in hand surgery, Dr. Richard Moore, an ortho surgeon, testified that Depp's injuries to his finger following an accident in Australia were not consistent his claim that Heard had smashed his hand with a vodka glass bottle.

Dr. David Spiegel, a psychiatrist and expert in intimate partner abuse, testified that Depp displayed behaviors consistent with someone who has a substance misuse disorder, as well as someone who is a perpetrator. Moore and Spiegel have never met with Depp. Both examined the medical records and any testimony related to the case.

Kathryn Arnold, entertainment industry expert, testified about her analysis on Depp's and Heard’s careers.

Arnold stated that she believed Heard's Op-Ed had little impact on Depp’s career.

Arnold said that Arnold knew very little. Arnold testified that he didn't know the existence of the Op-ed before he filed suit. I don't know of anyone, but Disney is the only one that knows.

Arnold believes Heard has suffered a loss of up to $50m in earnings over the next five year due to Depp’s attorney's statements calling Heard’s claims a hoax.

On Friday, closing statements are expected from both sides.
