The Contentious Administrative Court 4 of Barcelona has rejected the request of the Hermitage to provisionally suspend the agreement of the Barcelona Government Commission that denied the agreement that the Port of Barcelona wanted to establish with the project of the museum in the Nueva Bocana.

In her order, the judge dismisses the request for precautionary measures that the Hermitage had claimed in her appeal, with which she wanted to provisionally suspend the agreement of the consistory and continue with the project in a precautionary manner until there is no final sentence.

Barcelona City Council has celebrated the decision and insists that the Hermitage "is not what Barcelona needs." "The judge has proved us right again," said Deputy Mayor Janet Sanz.

The Hermitage also asked to suspend the modification of the special plan for the Nueva Bocana del Puerto, on the basis of which the City Council denied the agreement, "if it is interpreted, as said agreement does, that this precept attributes to the Barcelona City Council the discretionary power to veto the specific cultural projects that the Barcelona Port Authority proposes to implement in the Central Building».
