The Provincial Council of Soria launches the Employment Plan endowed with one million euros

The Provincial Council approaches with one million euros of own funds the new Employment Plan approved in the Economic Development Commission and that will allow municipalities and local entities to hire around 250 unemployed.

The job offer is adapted to the new Decree Law of the Labor Reform, so this type of contract is subject to an additional provision that allows public entities to carry out temporary contracts, such as those that the municipalities have always offered within this Plan of Employment.

As the Diputación indicates in a statement, in previous years 400,000 euros were allocated from the Junta de Castilla y León for active employment policies and were complemented by 600,000 euros from the Diputación's own funds.

On this occasion the money provided by the regional government has been allocated to road works and the provincial institution has financed one hundred percent of the Employment Plan.

The Plan will enter into force once it passes through the Governing Board and is subsequently published in the Official Gazette of the Province, offering four types of contract with different subsidies: full-time 180 days with a subsidy of 5,000 euros, full-time 90 days with a subsidy of 2,500 euros, a 75% shift of 120 days with a subsidy of 2,500 euros and a full day of 180 days between two municipalities with a subsidy of 5,000 euros.

The people to be hired must be registered as unemployed, without the need for them to be registered in the contracting municipality. The maximum number of contracts per requesting local entity is 8, ordered by blocks based on the number of unemployed that the municipality has, the less unemployed, the less preference when it comes to granting contracts, which will be awarded until the end of the budget.

The Economic Development Commission has also approved a new line of subsidies included in the Soria 2022 Plan for the creation of multiservices with an item of 100,000 euros. Between the two calls made in 2020 and 2021, more than half a million euros have been earmarked for this purpose, with the maximum subsidy for multiservice being 40,000 euros so that interested municipalities can adapt municipal facilities for this purpose, provided that there is no store the people, to avoid competition.

In the first call, eight multiservices opened in Gómara, Alcubilla de Avellaneda, Monteagudo de las Vicarías, Muriel Viejo, Remember, Torlengua, Ciria, Peñalba de San Esteban, Bayubas de Abajo, Castilruiz, San Felices and Tera de Almarza.

In the second call, the requests for multiservices attended were nine: Gallinero de Almarza, Espeja de San Marcelino, La Cuenca de Golmayo, La Póveda, Martialay de Alconaba, Quintanas de Gormaz, Serón de Nágima, Boos de Valdenebro and Villar del Río.

Finally, the Commission, within the Plan Soria, has also given its approval to the call for subsidies to support rural pharmacies in the province of Soria with a budget of 46,000 euros. The bases collect two types of aid depending on the number of inhabitants where they are located, 1,500 euros for municipalities with fewer than 1,000 inhabitants, and 1,000 euros for those located in municipalities with more than 1,000 inhabitants.
