The Costa Blanca Cup 2022 of football and futsal will bring together more than 4,000 participants from July 3 to 8 in the main municipalities of the Marina Baixa district of Alicante. The first edition of this tournament was held in 1994 and is one of the most established in Spain.

For the football segment of the Costa Blanca Cup, Benidorm will host matches at the Guillermo Amor (two F11 pitches) and at the Antonio López (one F11 pitch and two F8 ​​pitches). In addition, in Altea there will be two eleven-a-side football fields where male and female players will compete, in Calpe there will be one for F11 and another for F8, in La Vila the participants in the CBC will play in Nou Pla (F11) and the Ciutat Esportiva Calsita ( one F11 and one F8) and La Nucía CD will host eleven-a-side football matches (one field) and F8 (two).

For their part, Finestrat (F11) and Polop (F11 and F8) are also part of the network of venues that will structure the region within the framework of international grassroots football.

In the case of the futsal tournament, the action will take place at the Benidorm facilities of the Palau L'Illa (two futsal courts) and the Raúl Mesa Pavilion. Two other courts will be in Altea, one more in Calpe and another in the case of La Nucía.

In addition, at the figures level, as the organization of the quintessential summer tournament has already advanced, teams belonging to 16 different countries will compete: Uganda, Portugal, Mexico, Jamaica, Iceland, Northern Ireland, England, France, United States, Egypt, Canada , Brazil, Bahrain, Belgium, Australia and, obviously, Spain. Five continents, then, will be represented.

This will result in a balance of 109 clubs, 36 of which are foreigners, which will leave a participation of 265 teams between men's, women's and adapted football categories. More than 4,000 participants are expected, signifying this with a remarkable generation of sports tourism and overnight stays throughout a week in the area.
