The Juan Gil-Albert Institute has inaugurated the exhibition of the XXII International Contest "Meetings of Contemporary Art", organized together with the University of Alicante. Among the 24 selected works, the winner in this edition was the artist Juan Carlos Martínez Nadal, who will receive the first prize of 9,000 euros for the sculpture "Cos dáigua/Bohai".

The vice president and deputy for Culture, Julia Parra, has assured that "this event allows us to discover and value the work of a new generation of artists who show a high creative level and deserve to have the opportunity to show their productions to the public to make himself known."

The exhibition can be visited at the MUA until July 24 and, in addition to Martínez Nadal from Alicante, two second prizes have been awarded to Greta Alfaro and Fernando Bayona – endowed with 2,500 euros each.
