With 802 million hits, Germans streamed more music on Christmas Eve than ever before within 24 hours. This was announced by GfK Entertainment as investigator of the official German charts.

"Last Christmas" by Wham! came to more than 5.5 million streams, "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey to 5.4 million. The previous daily record of 764 million streams came from Christmas Eve 2021 and has now been significantly exceeded.

Meanwhile, "Last Christmas" in the German single charts has further expanded its record as a hit that has been in the charts for the longest time - to 160 weeks now, it said. The song first entered the charts in December 1984. "All I Want For Christmas Is You" comes to 89 weeks.
