Ted Lasso's Brett Goldstein Confirms that the Show will End Next Season: "Spoiler Alert -- Everybody Dies"

The third season of the beloved AppleTV+ series is being written. Star and writer Goldstein confirmed that it was originally planned as three seasons.

Ted Lasso will soon make its last lap around the pitch.

Brett Goldstein, also known as. Roy Kent confirmed that the Sunday Times in the U.K. will soon be ending its coverage of Roy Kent.

The 41-year old star and writer told the Times that the show would end after the third season. It was originally planned for three seasons.

He joked that "Spoiler Alert -- Everyone dies."

The series of sports comedy was first broadcast on Apple TV+ in Aug 2020. It dropped its second season in 2021. Since then, it has received praises from all who have seen it.

After signing on as a coach for the fictional soccer team AFC Richmond, in the Premier League, Ted Sudeikis (American football coach) has been following it. Lasso, a European-born coach who has never coached soccer before is jolted by European culture. He also tried to build a team bond to improve their field stats.

"The best part of the show is people trying to improve themselves." That's not common," Goldstein explained to the Times. "Our public discourse on social media is horrible. It's now common for people to be cruel to one another. The show should not be as refreshing and entertaining as it is. That speaks more about the world that it was created in. There are far more stories of people being kind than there are about people being horrible.

Goldstein said, "I cannot speak for fans. However, I can speak for how it has shaped me. Ted is our best selves. He tries to bring out the best in us. The series also won numerous awards, including the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series 2021 and individual acting awards to Sudeikis and Waddingham, as well as individual acting awards for Goldstein, Goldstein, and Waddingham. Sudeikis was also awarded the 2022 Golden Globe (a second consecutive win) and the series was named the best TV series musical or comedy of the year.

You can stream Seasons 1 and 2, Ted Lasso, on AppleTV+. The premiere date for the third season is unknown, but filming was scheduled to start on Valentine's Day 2022. Star Hannah Waddingham shared this information on The Late Late Show With James Corden.
