On Saturday, May 28th, at approximately 4:30 pm, a traffic accident occurred in Villeneuve's territory, near the 4096 departmental road. A car and a motorbike were involved in the collision. The 88-year old driver of the two-wheeler was severely injured.

He had an ankle fracture and a large open fracture. Before the octogenarian could be evacuated from Marseille Nord on the Samu de Bouches-du Rhone helicopter, the Volx and Manosque firefighters were mobilized. This section of the RD4096 has been involved in major accidents, including two deaths in 2021.
