Hollywood producer Eric Weinberg, who worked on hit series like 'Scrubs' and 'Californication', has been charged with rape and other sexual assault. The 62-year-old has been accused by five women that Weinberg allegedly abused between 2014 and 2019, prosecutors in Los Angeles said on Wednesday.
More than two dozen women described alleged attacks by Weinberg in conversations with the "Hollywood Reporter", the trade journal reported on Wednesday. The first cases would date back to 2000. The producer had already been arrested in 2014, but due to a lack of evidence there were no charges at the time.
Weinberg has written and produced on numerous productions, including 100 episodes of the hit comedy Scrubs, starring Zach Braff as a young doctor through 2006. He also worked on series such as "Graves", "Californication" and "Anger Management". He was nominated five times for the Emmy television award.
