The ball rolls, millions and millions watch the world's best soccer players as they score goals. Hardly any spectator expects that something serious could happen to top athletes like them on the field. And yet that is exactly what happens occasionally, most recently in front of everyone at the EM 2021. At that time, the cameras broadcast how the 29-year-old Dane Christian Eriksen collapsed. Just before half-time in the game against Finland, the midfielder ran towards a ball thrown in, stumbled for no apparent reason before collapsing seconds later.
