Feijóo asks European leaders for their trust: "We are prepared to govern"

The president of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has spoken this Wednesday for the first time before the plenary session of his party's congress in Europe, in an act that is held in Rotterdam and where Esteban González Pons has been elected vice president of the popular Europeans, with the German Manfred Weber as president.

During his speech, the leader of the PP has asked the European leaders for confidence and has remarked that "we are prepared to govern". "We have experience, we have ideas, we want to unite, not disunite, and we understand political action as an exercise of responsibility," he insisted.

Núñez Feijóo has warned his colleagues from the European People's Party that Spain is much more than the Government of Sánchez and has encouraged them to believe in the country's possibilities and future.

«Spain is made up of almost 48 million European Spaniards who deserve the trust of the European institutions» he stated, to which the president of the PP added: «we are and will continue to be the ones who guarantee compliance with the rules».

In his speech, the opposition leader stated that the Spanish PP wants to send three messages to Europe: "stability, hope and future", but also another one of "tranquility" in situations such as the recent rejection of NATO by members of the Government .

Throughout the congress of the European People's Party, Feijóo has been able to verify the "concern" that, in his opinion, exists among many political leaders outside of Spain about the weak government presided over by Sánchez, and the influence that the populist left has on it. , the Communist Party and the separatists who want to destroy the nation.

Faced with this situation, Feijóo, who has met with a dozen PPE leaders, and also with the Prime Minister of Morocco, has sent a message of optimism in the face of the "political alternation" that the PP represents and the task of economic reconstruction, institutional and social that it intends to carry out if it wins the next general elections.
