The Civil Guard, within the framework of the Block operation, has arrested seven minor members of the violent youth gang 'Blood' that operated in different locations in the province of Toledo, for the alleged crimes of extortion and belonging to a criminal group.

The Civil Guard had been investigating a series of altercations and criminal acts carried out by a group of young people who had caused great social alarm among the inhabitants of different towns in La Sagra in Toledo.

Investigators have been able to determine that those now detained intended to settle in towns near the city of Toledo as a violent youth group that exercised power and control in a coercive manner over certain sectors of the population, especially the youngest.

To achieve its purpose, this group would be committing different criminal actions in the area, mainly threats, robberies and injuries carried out in a group, organized and violent manner.

After the police operation, the Civil Guard has managed to dismantle the organization's block with the arrest of these seven young people in the towns of Bargas, Olías del Rey, Magán and Sonseca.

These types of gangs aspire to control certain geographical spaces, establishing themselves in various areas through the formation of territorial groups that are dedicated to committing crimes such as those mentioned above.

In general, they are organized groups with a strong hierarchy and where each of its members has a defined function. In most of these organizations, a high number of components are minors, who are usually induced to leave their family homes and commit illicit activities as a means of financing the gang.

The investigation has been carried out by the Toledo Command Information Group and the Roca Team of the Illescas Company (Toledo) in collaboration with the Civil Guard Information Headquarters (UCE-3).
