The Spanish tennis player Rafa Nadal underwent pulsed radio frequency treatment in Barcelona on his left foot, in the affected area, to try to improve the injury that did not prevent him from playing and winning, after being previously infiltrated, Roland Garros last Sunday.

«Rafa Nadal visited his doctor in Barcelona two days after the victory at Roland Garros, where he was visited by Dr. Ángel Ruiz-Cotorro, Rafa Nadal's doctor, from the RFET and Director of the Mapfre Clinic for Tennis Medicine», explained the tennis player's environment.

At the Teknon clinic in Barcelona, ​​Nadal underwent pulsed radio frequency treatment on the different nerves involved in the area of ​​the injury.

«Sensitive nerves that occupy the pain in the affected area and give it sensitivity. With this treatment the nerve is temporarily numb," the statement added.

Nadal is already at home and after three or four days with normal maintenance physical activity, he will be able, depending on the evolution of the treatment and “as long as it is positive”, to resume training on the court.

However, the man from Manacor and his team do not rule out returning to Barcelona for a second session: "We do not rule out that a second treatment could be carried out depending on the evolution in the next week."
