The European Commission has given its approval this Wednesday to the entry of the investment fund managed by Ardian and FiveT, HY24, into the shareholding of Enagás Renovable with a 30% stake, concluding that the operation will not have a negative impact on the space European economy nor in a substantial part of it.

Brussels has concluded that the operation will not raise competition problems because the overlaps between the activities of the companies involved will be "limited", as indicated by the community institution itself in a statement. The file, which was notified to the Commission on May 11, has been examined under the simplified procedure that applies to less problematic cases.

Enagás, which will remain the majority shareholder of the subsidiary with a 70% stake, stated last February when it announced the operation that the entry of HY24 will allow its subsidiary to "crystallize the value generated and accelerate the development of the portfolio of production and commercialization of biomethane and hydrogen diversifying risk».
