Chris Eubank Jr is looking to win a major middleweight title this evening when he faces Liam Williams.

Eubank Jr., the son of English boxing legend Chris Eubank, will face Williams at the Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff. The atmosphere is expected to be intense following a heated exchange between the fighters. Williams promised to "smash him to pieces", while Eubank Jr., 32, said that Williams had already stated that he would fight dirty but that he is not the fighter he is. He's going to be defeated the right way.

Eubank Jr (31-2 and 23 knockouts), last fought in October. His opponent Wanik Awdijan was injured in the ribs, which led to him retiring after five rounds. Williams, 29, is currently 23-3-1 and has 18 KOs. He last fought in October against Wanik Awdijan, a middleweight champion. All judges were heavily in favor of the American. Eubank Jr. is looking for a title shot, but must be aware of a dangerous and unpredictable opponent. They were initially set to fight each other in December, and then January. But after delays, they are now set to face off.

The co-main event will see Claressa Schields make her UK debut. She defends her middleweight title against Ema Kozin from Slovenia.
