After the successful completion of the World Cup qualification, Germany's soccer women are looking forward to the home international match against France on October 7th.

"The anticipation is huge," said national coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg after the 8-0 win over Bulgaria on Tuesday evening in Plovdiv. "We have heard that 20,000 tickets have already been sold and we are pleased that we have apparently encouraged people to come to a test match."

The game in Dresden will be the first appearance in front of a home crowd for the DFB selection after the exciting European Championship. At the finals in England, the German team triggered an unexpected euphoria in Germany. "It's nice that people want to be a part of it," said Voss-Tecklenburg. "I think we can fill the stadium."
