The Belgian Crown Princess Elisabeth celebrates her 21st birthday today (October 25th). On this beautiful occasion, the palace published two new portraits of the first-born daughter of King Philippe (62) and Queen Mathilde (49) on Instagram.

In the first photo, the heir to the throne sits at a window and looks dreamily into the distance. The second shows her face in a close-up.

The young woman's look, which impresses with its casual elegance, is also striking. The princess wears wide-cut, light-grey trousers with a cream-colored top with a Carmen neckline and three-quarter sleeves. Large golden creoles on the ears sparkle as highlights. With the make-up, she emphasized her blue eyes, her hair was styled in a loose center parting.

Photographer Bas Bogaerts photographed Elisabeth for the portraits at Laeken Castle in mid-September.

In his post, the palace also asked what the followers of the princess wanted for their birthday. They respond with congratulations in the local language and comments such as "Long live the monarchy" or "May your dreams come true".

But some also write in more detail: "I wish you to go your own way and experience joy on this path, that you feel that you are a sign of solidarity, that your smile is part of your mission," says in a post.
