The Civil Guard has arrested a couple in Onda (Castellón) for threatening and trying to attack the woman who took care of their children when she told them that she wanted to leave the post, whose hours were 24 hours a day, seven days a week , without any type of rest, and for which he received 800 euros per month, although he was unpaid for a month.

The arrest, last Thursday, occurred after a woman filed a complaint at the Onda Civil Guard Post in which she stated that in November 2021 a married couple offered her a job at their daughter's house to help with the children, with an employment contract of 800 euros per month and the necessary help to obtain a residence permit, as reported by the Armed Institute in a statement.

However, once work began, the working hours were from Monday to Sunday, 24 hours a day and without any type of break. In addition, the woman, in four months, only had one day off and was unpaid for a month.

Faced with this situation, the woman told her parents that she wanted to leave since "she couldn't take it anymore." It was then that the threats, insults and even an attempted assault began.

The victim presented an unsigned employment contract dated after she left the home where she worked. For these facts, the agents have arrested the couple, aged 35 and 27, respectively, as alleged perpetrators of crimes against the rights of workers and against moral integrity. The proceedings instructed have been handed over to the Nules Courts.
