The first betting sponsors were filmmaker Michael Bully Herbig and actor Christoph Maria Herbst on the famous TV couch. The first betting candidate then had to pierce eggs with an excavator - and won. The British pop star Robbie Williams, who mingled with the audience with his hit "Angels", caused goose bumps.

After the successful comeback of "Wetten, dass...?" with almost 14 million viewers a year ago, ZDF announced a sequel.
