Space travel: China's lunar probe "Chang'e-6" is scheduled to launch on Friday

China wants to launch its next lunar probe this Friday (May 3rd). Preparations for the launch of "Chang'e-6" were in full swing, the state news agency Xinhua reported, citing the Chinese space agency CNSA.

A time for the planned start was not initially given. The mission is intended to bring rock samples from the far side of the moon to Earth for the first time.

In preparation, China has already put a communications satellite into lunar orbit. This is necessary so that the probe, which is to land on the far side of the moon, can maintain contact with the control center on Earth.
