"Pop songs displace the classical songs," said the President of the Mannheim Music Academy, Rudolf Meister, the German Press Agency. At Christmas, for example, radio listeners are treated to songs like "Driving Home for Christmas" (Chris Rea) and "Last Christmas" by Wham! flooded.

Master said singing is still very popular. According to the piano professor, it is not decisive for social development what is sung; it's more about singing.
