According to defense lawyers, the confrontation between Cedric Jubillar (his former co-detainee), Marco, who accused Cedric of confessing to him in prison of the murder of his wife Delphine had not resulted in "much".

Marco, Cedric's ex-prisoner, spoke out about his experiences in prison Monday night during an interview with Le Parisien. He was willing to share some of the conversations he had with the main suspect in this case, during the night in their cell.

The latter, who claims to have only had trouble by cooperating with justice in the confrontation, tells the Parisian about the first contact he had with Cedric Jubillar.

"I feel like the man is trying to get in my brain. He asks me a few trick questions about my past. He is a fellow construction worker. We have a conversation about the job and auto mechanics. Marco says that he is an excellent calculator and thinks much more than the average inmate.

Former prisoner revealed that Cedric Jubillar called Delphine "the Other", that he "swears at his son" and that he "makes fun about Delphine's girlfriends".

Marco told the story of the suspect telling Marco that he had given Cedric Jubillar "shit" in order to make him "good".

He came out of his bedroom, surprised his wife by sending her messages to his "asshole", and that's how the lover spoke. That's when he "twisted". These were his words.

Marco would also have suggested moving Delphine's body, with the intention that Cedric would "give exact information about the location where Delphine might be buried".

Delphine Jubillar was a night nurse at Albi's clinic. She disappeared from her Cagnac-les–Mines (Tarn), home in the middle of the evening on December 2020. The main suspect is her husband, who she was divorcing. He was charged with murder and sentenced to 18 years in prison on June 18, 2021. He is currently being held in isolation confinement and claims to be innocent.

Justice believes that investigators have presented enough evidence to convict the 34-year old plasterer painter. His lawyers, however, claim that there is no evidence that can be disputed. Cedric Jubillar will be released from prison on June 18th. Cedric Jubillar cannot remain in pre-trial custody beyond June 18 without a debate with the judge of freedoms. His lawyers wait for the judge to summon them to request their client's release.
