Thousands of fans celebrated Boca Juniors' championship title after the heart-pounding finale in the Argentine league.

After the final whistle at Boca's La Bombonera stadium, they celebrated the team before moving on to the obelisk in central Buenos Aires and bathing the Argentine capital in the club's blue and yellow colors. With 73 national and international titles, the workers' club from the Boca harbor district is unchallenged the most successful club in Argentina.

The fans had to tremble in the game on Sunday until the last second. Boca only managed a 2-2 draw in their home game against Independiente. Ironically, eternal rivals River Plate sealed the title for Boca Juniors with a 2-1 win over Racing Club.
