Sophia Thomalla on Till Lindemann: He is one of "the greatest rock musicians in the world"

Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann celebrates his 60th birthday on January 4th. The singer with the distinctive voice is not only the face of the band, but is also one of the most important musicians of recent years for many fans. He is "one of the greatest rock musicians in the world," says Lindemann's ex-girlfriend Sophia Thomalla (33) in an interview with the television magazine "Brisant".

Lindemann and Thomalla were together for several years. At the end of 2015, however, the manager of the "Spiegel Online" singer had confirmed a previous article in the "Bild" newspaper and thus the separation of the two. According to the "Brisant" report, the relationship still shapes Thomalla to this day. "We maintain an incredibly good and friendly, very, very close relationship," reports the actress. The 60 is "of course also a house number", but according to the 33-year-old Lindemann "remained fit and healthy" so this will "not stop him".

The new year is likely to be exhausting for Lindemann anyway. From the end of May, Rammstein will have a long "Europa Stadion Tour 2023". In Munich alone, four concerts are on the program for June. All currently planned dates can be found on the band's homepage. The singer is also going on a solo tour. Due to "all previously postponed tours during the Covid epidemic" there was a lack of venues and Lindemann had to postpone his "I hate children" tour in 2022. According to his website, the new concerts are planned for autumn 2023. All tickets already purchased should remain valid.

With fiery live shows and brute sounds, Rammstein has been one of Germany's most successful musical exports for years. For example, the band recently secured first place on Spotify as the most streamed German music act abroad in 2022.
