Kim Kardashian: Meeting with Kamala Harris at the White House

After almost four years, Kim Kardashian (43) paid another visit to the White House. On Thursday (April 25), the reality TV star sat down at a round table with US Vice President Kamala Harris (59) to talk about pardoning criminals.

A day earlier, US President Joe Biden (81) pardoned 16 people who had been convicted of non-violent drug crimes. Some of them even sat at the table with Kardashian and Harris. They talked about their experiences with the justice system in the USA.

Harris thanked Kardashian for her commitment at the event. She used her popularity in a way that made it clear how important it is to talk about and advocate for second chances. Kardashian modestly replied that she was just spreading the message, as quoted by CNN. “Every time I visit a prison, I meet some of the brightest minds with the best ideas,” Kardashian continued. The entrepreneur believes it is very important that those affected tell their stories. In this way, an understanding can be created about the challenge that reintegration poses for ex-prisoners.

Kim Kardashian has been committed to helping convicts for several years. In 2018, a 63-year-old woman who had been sentenced to life was released early after Kim presented herself to then US President Donald Trump (77). In 2019, she gave a speech at the White House for the reintegration of ex-prisoners into society. A year later, she met with Trump again at the White House.

According to media reports, the 43-year-old has currently "put her goals of becoming a lawyer on hold". At the end of 2021, she proudly announced on Instagram that she had passed the so-called "Baby Bar Exam" - a small bar exam - on the fourth attempt.
