Hollywood star and entrepreneur Jessica Alba ("Fantastic Four") wants to continue her acting career despite working for her diaper and cosmetics company "The Honest Company".

"Just dealing with tables and the company every day" would be too boring for her, said the 41-year-old on Wednesday at the Digital X Congress in Cologne. She loves to act in action movies, where the action is. "I need these - it's fun when girls let it rip."

Alba founded "The Honest Company" in 2011, last year the US company went public and after a price drop it was worth the equivalent of 375 million euros.

When asked about her general attitude in professional life, Alba said in front of the Cologne audience that for a long time she wanted to be particularly tough and demonstratively assertive. "For a long time I felt like I needed to be tougher than a man - tougher, stronger, more intense." In the meantime, however, she has realized that one does not have to demonstratively turn one's strengths outwards. "You have to be very soft and influence people without them noticing." It's easier to get people on your side "if you do it with kindness and an open heart."
