According to studio estimates, "Jackass Forever" was the fourth installment in the anarchic series. It earned $23.5 million in ticket sales its first weekend at theaters.

It not only exceeded all expectations, but also easily outperformed its main competitors, the big-budget sci-fi spectacles "Moonfall" & "Spider-Man: No Way Home," both of which have 6 of their 8 weeks in theaters at No. 1.

" Jackass Forever" brings back Johnny Knoxville and SteveO. Chris Pontius, Wee Man and Chris Pontius for another round. This series has been the most well-reviewed. "Jackass Forever," which is playing on 3,604 screens across North America, is at the lower end of the "Jackass' openings. It surpasses only the first which earned $22.8 million in its debut weekend in 2002. The series' biggest opening was "Jackass 3D"'s $50 million debut in 2010. Paramount's "Jackass Forever", which cost only $10 million, is already a huge success. Paramount had hoped to launch the series in the mid-teens.

68% of R-rated "Jackass Forever," audience was made up of men. This is 67% of the 67% that were between 18 and 34.

Paul Dergarabedian (comscore senior media analyst) stated that "both 'Scream" and 'Jackass Forever had a very long time between installments. This made it difficult to love 'Jackass forever," he said. "They've always done quite well. They are easy to make, and the theater's communal nature elevates a comedy such as "Jackass."

"Moonfall," however, which was produced at a cost of $140 million, is not performing well in the United States. Lionsgate estimates that the film's first weekend gross was just over $10million, which is in line with projections. "Moonfall", directed by Roland Emmerich, starred Halle Berry and Patrick Wilson. It was not well received by critics. Rotten Tomatoes holds a 40% rating for the disaster movie about the possible collision of the Earth and the moon. Its audience, like "Jackass", was also dominated by men (60%).

"Moonfall" was independently funded through Emmerich’s Centropolis Entertainment, foreign deals, and independent production. It is expected to make most of its money overseas, just like other big-budget disaster photos. Lionsgate was responsible for distribution in North America, and the studio expects it to be financially profitable.

In its eighth weekend in North American theaters "Spider-Man: No Way Home", earned an additional $9.6million, bringing the domestic total to $748.9million. Its earnings are worth $1.77 billion worldwide.

Dergarabedian stated that films that appeal to younger audiences have a greater chance of success during the pandemic. "And the young men audience seems to want to see the movie theater."

Neon's "HTMO_ The Worst Person In the World " was released on four screens, bringing its total to $135,042. The Norwegian film, which is about a young woman discovering herself, has been nominated for an Oscar. It will be announced on Tuesday. The film's per-theater average of $33,760 is the highest in 2022. In the next weeks, Neon will be adding theaters.

Although it was far from a normal weekend pre-pandemic, it did break a bit. This will likely continue until "The Batman” opens on March 4.

Dergarabedian stated that although it isn't the largest weekend, considering the quiet of the market, it's welcome.

According to Comscore, Friday through Sunday ticket sales were estimated at U.S. theaters and Canadian theatres. Monday will see the release of final domestic figures.
