The Archbishop of Toledo and Primate of Spain, Francisco Cerro Chaves, has appointed the priest Sebastián Villalobos Zaragoza, director of the Nuestra Señora de los Infantes school, canon 'Chaplain Mozárabe' of the Toledo Cathedral Chapter. The appointment has been made “in response to the qualities that concur in the diocesan priest Sebastián Villalobos Zaragoza, having previously heard the opinion of the Excellency the Primate Council, in a chapter session held on May 16, and in accordance with canon 509 of the Code of Canon Law and of Articles 36, 9b and 19 of the Chapter Statutes, and previously dispensing him with ten years of canonical age (Art. 37, 3), we hereby appoint him and in use of our ordinary jurisdiction we name him canon 'Chaplain Mozárabe' of the Cabildo de la Santa Iglesia Catedral Metropolitana de Toledo y Primada España », says the text of the episcopal appointment.

Likewise, Villalobos is entrusted, in accordance with Article 23 of the Statutes, with the office of 'Responsible for Pastoral Care', for a five-year period, with all the rights and obligations that are his own, hoping that he will strive with zeal and diligence in the fulfillment of this important pastoral mission entrusted to him".

Also, in attention to the special qualities that concur in the priest Sebastián Villalobos Zaragoza, having heard the Primate Chapter, and as canon responsible for pastoral care, in accordance with Article 23.3 of the Chapter Statutes, we hereby appoint him and in use of our ordinary jurisdiction we appointed him, for a five-year period, Counselor of the Slavery of 'Nuestra Señora del Tabernacle' of Toledo. I hope that he will strive with zeal and diligence in fulfilling this important pastoral mission entrusted to him », adds the text.
