Public transit on the South Shore: exo renews its “on demand” service

Exo announced Thursday the renewal of its “exo on demand” pilot project in an improved version in the municipalities of Beloeil and McMasterville from May 30.

Experienced for a year, "exo en demande" offers a transport service according to the needs of customers on the South Shore and the North Shore of Montreal, but it is not free from criticism from users.

The operator of public transport services by paratransit bus seems to be satisfied with the results of the initial project, hence the interest in renewing it for another year in these two municipalities.

Exo says it has made improvements to the service, after user comments on the initial project and plans to add a second vehicle dedicated to the commuter train feeder at McMasterville station.

Service hours are from 4:15 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. during the week and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the weekend, while users can book online, mobile application or by phone between seven days and 15 minutes before move.

"Our customers have told us about their areas for improvement over the past year and we have listened to them by integrating several adjustments to the service as of May 30," said Marie Hélène Cloutier, Executive Director - Customer Engagement, Partners and Innovation in mobility from exo.
