FC Bayern Munich has won again after two defeats in the basketball Euroleague. Due to the 97:92 (43:39) against the Spanish club Valencia BC on Thursday evening, the Bundesliga club now has a record of 5:9 wins, but remains in the lower half of the table.

After a mixed start (23:26/10th minute), Bayern improved significantly in the second quarter. National player Isaac Bonga led coach Andrea Trinchieri's team to a 43:39 half-time lead with an interim 10-0 run. The former NBA professional already had twelve points and four rebounds before the break and showed his best performance so far in the Bayern jersey after his change in the summer.

The guests from the south-east of Spain, on the other hand, got off to a better start after the break. The Montenegrin center Bojan Dubljevic caused big problems for Bayern with a total of 28 points. On the other side, the hosts were ahead again with 62:57 (27 th ) thanks to two converted threes by Niels Giffey within 33 seconds.

The Trinchieri team extended the lead in the final round with a furiously played Corey Walden (78:67/32.). The American scored ten points in a row for Bayern, who were impressive from a distance, and played an important part in the win over Valencia. The 30-year-old was also the winner's best shooter with 18 points. In the Euroleague, Munich will continue on December 23 (7 p.m. / Magentasport) at the Lithuanian top club Zalgiris Kaunas.
