Firefighters found the body of a man aged in his 60s below the Ilettes viaduct footbridge, just downstream of the hospital center and near the wharf. Annecy flour mill. The Fier held the body up with branches. It seemed like a recent death.

The man is approximately sixty years old and has a average build. He also has short graying hair, eyebrows and is beardless. He was European-type, with dark skin. He wore an Armani watch, black stockings, and barefoot a T-shirt and long-sleeved shirt.

Anybody who has information or can identify the deceased, is requested to contact Annecy le Vieux's gendarmerie at 04 50 23 02 23.

To determine the cause of death, a judicial inquiry was opened.
