"The investigations have shown that no chemotherapy will be necessary. We are all happy about that, the entire Hertha family is very happy about that. That is very, very gratifying," said Hertha's media chief Marcus Jung on Friday at the beginning of the matchday PK before the Duel against Hoffenheim on Sunday (3:30 p.m.)

A testicular tumor was found in the Dutchman last Thursday. Boetius had to undergo surgery on Friday. "He hasn't lost his smile. That's very, very good news," said Hertha coach Sandro Schwarz at the beginning of the week after visiting Boetius in the hospital.
