Coastal fisherman Heddi (Anneke Kim Sarnau) is self-confident and tough. It has to be, because cutter fishing has never been an easy business. And in times of overfishing, it can hardly make ends meet. But Heddi can't be beaten. She has only one weak point: her daughter Eva (Zoe Moore). She is an environmental activist and just as combative as her mother. There has been radio silence between the two for years. But now Eva, who lives in the big city, unexpectedly turns up with her son Jannis (Lewe Wagner) in the small Baltic Sea village.

If there is something that drives detective Viktoria Lorentzen (Lena Dörrie) crazy, it is the chaotic nature of her sister Feli (Caroline Hanke). But suddenly the two have to work together. Viktoria is expecting her younger sister to attend her father's burial at sea. Soon she is annoyed by the chaotic Feli: not only does she come too late, but also in a baggy look on the ship. But the concentrated competence of the sisters is quickly in demand. The body of the successful fishing entrepreneur Fiete Dachs is found on a cliff. Viktoria only finds out that Feli is now supporting the Flensburg Criminal Police Office as a forensic scientist when the two are already on their way to their first case together.

While working on the Hubble telescope, the space shuttle belonging to scientist Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) and her crew is destroyed by space debris. A fight for survival begins. The fragments of debris, which are hurled through space like projectiles, kill almost all astronauts and devastate every shelter. Ryan's only hope is a distant space station.

The dragon Smaug sets out to destroy the lake-town of Esgaroth. The residents then seek support from the dwarf king Thorin (Richard Armitage), but he refuses to help them. He, too, has succumbed to the dragon disease - a delusional greed for power and gold. His stubbornness eventually leads to a terrible war between humans, elves and dwarves. Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) tries to mediate between the parties. But an even darker threat awaits the denizens of Middle-earth in the form of Sauron and his mighty army of orcs.

It is a night traffic check with far-reaching consequences. When policeman Frank Lorenz (Roeland Wiesnekker) asks the young man to get out of his car, he sees only one way out: Pascal Pohl (Wolf Danny Homann) flees. He runs to the nearby train tracks. Just a few seconds later he is dead - run over by a tram. But what looks like a tragic accident at first glance turns into an opaque revenge campaign. Because apparently the Russian mafia was after the young drug dealer, as Lorenz, who is well connected in the scene, knows. Max Ballauf (Klaus J. Behrendt) and Freddy Schenk (Dietmar Bär) take over the investigation.
