Following 17 years together with Coca-Cola, pitching many different merchandise, LeBron James is registering with rival PepsiCo, sources confirmed to ESPN.

The Los Angeles Lakers celebrity is predicted to advertise the Mountain Dew brand, which has grown into one of the NBA's prime patrons after PepsiCo took over because the league's official drink companion in 2015.

James signed with Coke in the summer of 2003 prior to his rookie season; the firm combined Nike and Upper Deck because his longest-standing endorsement spouses. His bargain with Coca-Cola died last year once the sides were not able to come to terms within an expansion.

During the years, James had his very own taste of Powerade and variant of Sprite, also has been in the heart of a Coca-Cola advertising effort with Yao Ming for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Forbes lists James as the very best active NBA player in acceptance earnings, topping $50 million each year.
