World Cup in Wisla: ski jumpers with a weak start to the season

Germany's ski jumpers had a weak start to the World Cup winter. In the first individual in Wisla, Poland, no athlete from the German Ski Association (DSV) came close to the top ten.

Olympic silver winner Katharina Althaus fell far short of her potential with 21st place. Selina Freitag (19th), Agnes Reisch (20th), Luisa Görlich (26th) and Anna Rupprecht (29th) also scored World Cup points in the competition, which was held on mats.

Silje Opseth from Norway secured the first yellow jersey of the World Cup season, which pauses two weeks after the start in Poland. In addition to her, the two Austrians Marita Kramer and Eva Pinkelnig also made it onto the podium. The Norwegian Maren Lundby finished 16th on her comeback after a year and a half. On Sunday (12.00 noon) there will be another singles in Wisla.
