FC Copenhagen and Brøndby have dropped it.

It came to pass in the light of the massive criticism, especially from their own fans, that the two superligaklubber would no longer take on the annual workout to Dubai. But in FC Midtjylland, they have chosen to prioritise differently.

Brøndby and FC Copenhagen was of its own fans heavily criticised for travelling to The United Arab Emirates. The country has often been accused of human rights violations, and therefore were many fans unhappy with the clubs ' decision to avail themselves of the emirate as a training camp.

FC Midtjylland at the time was not very receptive to criticism, and they kept stuck in wanting to take the trip to the warm countries. It was sportschefen very clear about, when he was asked about a year ago.

"There are very good conditions. There are good courses and good food, and then we can be sure that it is warm," said Svend Graversen at the time.

But this year, FC Midtjylland, according to the club's director taken precautions before the trip to the heat.

"We have ensured us that the hotel we stay at, comply with all international rules and conventions. It was crucial for us, and we have been assured by our cooperation partner," says Stenlein to the Herning Folkeblad.

While FC Midtjylland have chosen to keep in Dubai, as the club has visited every year since 2016, FC Copenhagen and Brøndby chosen to go a different route.
