Hamburger SV is still on course for promotion. In a 3-0 (1-0) win over 1. FC Nürnberg, coach Tim Walter's team remained undefeated for the sixth time in a row and consolidated second place in the 2nd Bundesliga.
A goal by Jean-Luc Dompé (19th minute), who circled a free kick from a good 20 meters into the near corner, initiated the deserved victory. Ludovit Reis (52nd) and Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer (90th 5) contributed the other goals in the sold-out Volksparkstadion with 57,000 spectators. The guests, who won 1-0 against Sandhausen last week when Dieter Hecking returned to the coaching bench, put in a good performance, at least in the first half.
SV Sandhausen managed to jump to the penultimate place in the table, after all they managed to draw 1-1 (0-0) at home against Holstein Kiel and thus recorded a point for the first time in five games. The goal from Kiel's Hauke Wahl (47') seemed to seal the 14th defeat of the season, before Franck Evina (90', 5) rewarded the vigor of the hosts with his last-minute goal.
The new tail light is Jahn Regensburg after a 0: 1 (0: 0) against Fortuna Düsseldorf. Thanks to the late goal by Dawid Kownacki (86./foulelfmeter), the guests came to a lucky victory.
